Cast Your Net Bible Quiz Competition Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

Participation in the Competition means you agree to comply with these Terms and any season-specific rules. The Organizers may update these terms and publish the current version on the platform.

2. Eligibility

• Applicants must complete the official entry or registration form truthfully and accurately.
• Applicants must meet the age and other eligibility criteria announced for the current season.
• Applicants under 18 years of age must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• Employees, volunteers, judges, question setters, and immediate family members of the Organizers or official sponsors are not eligible.
• The Organizers may verify eligibility at any stage and remove ineligible applicants.

3. Application and Entry

Each applicant may submit only one entry per season unless otherwise stated. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection. Applications are reviewed against the Competition’s selection criteria, and only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

4. Accuracy of Information

All information provided must be accurate and complete. False, misleading, or incomplete information may result in immediate disqualification and recovery of any prize already awarded.

5. Quiz Format and Conduct

The Competition tests knowledge of the Holy Bible. Contestants may not use Bibles, notes, electronic devices, earpieces, or any other assistance during quiz rounds unless expressly permitted. The decisions of the Organizers, quizmaster, and judges on questions, answers, scoring, and results are final.

6. Contestant Conduct

Contestants must act respectfully toward fellow competitors, hosts, judges, sponsors, staff, volunteers, and audience members. Cheating, collusion, abusive behaviour, or any attempt to gain unfair advantage may result in disqualification.

7. Recording and Media Rights

By participating, contestants grant permission for Cast Your Net to record and use their name, voice, likeness, photographs, quiz performance, and recordings for promotional, educational, advertising, broadcasting, streaming, and marketing purposes without additional compensation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Intellectual Property

All quiz questions, question banks, graphics, branding, logos, videos, promotional materials, and related content remain the intellectual property of the Organizers. Contestants may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or share quiz questions or answers without prior written permission.

9. Confidentiality

Contestants may receive confidential information regarding the production, question content, or results. Such information must not be disclosed without written permission. Breach of confidentiality may result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.

10. Prizes

Prize amounts, sponsorship benefits, and awards depend on official season rules. Winners may be required to complete identity verification and meet legal requirements before prizes are released. Prizes are non-transferable unless expressly permitted.

11. Disqualification

The Organizers may disqualify any contestant who provides false information, cheats, displays abusive behaviour, violates the terms, or brings the Competition or sponsors into disrepute.

12. Code of Conduct

As a Bible-based competition, contestants are expected to demonstrate integrity, honesty, humility, respect, and good sportsmanship both on and off camera, including on social media.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Personal information collected during registration and participation will be used to administer the Competition, verify eligibility, award prizes, and communicate with contestants. Data will be handled in accordance with the applicable Data Protection and Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to the Competition

The Organizers may postpone, cancel, suspend, modify, or reschedule any aspect of the Competition due to unforeseen circumstances, technical issues, safety concerns, or events beyond their control. Contestants will be notified of material changes where practicable.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cast Your Net and its affiliates are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from participation in the Competition, including travel to and from venues, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
